Classic Solitaire Instructions
This is the classic solitaire game that is so popular. Hopefully you've played it before and won't need the rules, but if not here is out to play.
You must move all the cards to the foundation piles at the top. Each foundation pile starts with an Ace from each suit and the other cards are placed in ascending order on the appropriate matching suit e.g. Ace - Two - Three and so on.
To get more cards click the deck in the top left of the game.
Groups of cards can be moved between the columns of cards in the layout. They must be placed in descending order and with alternating colors (e.g. Red King, Black Queen, Red Jack, Black 10). Only a group of cards beginning with a King can placed on a vacant pile.
Hints and Tips to Win Solitaire
- Aces should be removed immediately.
- If you have a choice, always move cards in the layout rather than bringing a new one down. If you are playing the harder version of a 3 card deal, check to see what cards will be freed up.
- Don't rush to put all the cards on the foundation, they can be useful to put down newly found cards when you get them. You can remove them if you have all 4 suits of a number.
